About Raja Raghunath

A graduate of Duke University and the University of Michigan Law School, Raja has represented workers and unions since entering the practice of law in 2002. He is admitted in New York and Colorado, and used to teach civil practice at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He has variously argued in the past for the application of the Thirteenth Amendment’s prohibition on slavery or involuntary servitude to prisoners who had not been sentenced to labor (18 Wm Mary Bill Rts J 395), and for government enforcement agencies to prioritize undocumented immigrants for protection from workplace rights violations like wage theft, discrimination, and retaliation (18 CUNY L Rev 47).
